Kodak Six-20 Junior Folding Camera with Kodak Anastigmat Lens – England, c. 1938
This elegant Kodak Six-20 Junior folding camera, manufactured in Great Britain in the late 1930s, is a magnificent example of the transition to more compact and accessible cameras for amateur photographers during the period leading up to World War II.
The model was produced by Kodak Ltd. in England and was part of the company's popular series of folding cameras. It is equipped with a 100mm f/6.3 Kodak Anastigmat lens, a good quality optic designed to deliver sharp, reliable images in medium format cameras of the era.
These cameras used 620 roll film, very common in Kodak cameras during the 1930s and 1940s, producing medium format negatives with excellent detail.
The classic design with a folding bellows allowed the camera to be transported compactly, while the front opening system automatically deployed the lens and shutter assembly for use.
This example is in very good condition for its age. It has been carefully cleaned, retains its original structure, and all mechanisms are in working order, including the opening system, focus, and lens controls.
Today, these cameras are prized by both collectors of antique photography and for their attractive industrial design, also making them an interesting vintage decorative item for lovers of analog photography and the history of Kodak.
