This classic model of pan scale was widely used in traditional European trade, especially in bakeries, butcher shops, and markets. Embossed with the inscription “FORCE 10 KILOS”, it represents one of the historical standards of commercial weighing.

The Béranger system, developed in 1845 as an evolution of the Roberval system, allowed for greater stability and precision by positioning the pans above the arms, making it a benchmark for decades.
